AnaSofia has been playing under the tree with her train a lot and making many special ornaments to decorate it with.

Last week we went to the Christmas Parade in town which was the biggest parade I have been to here (bigger than the 4th of July!), Mainers take their winters seriously! We really bundled up and had a good time.

AnaSofia is fortunate to have so many friends and family that love her that she has been receiving a CONTINUOUS supply of gifts all December long, January will be a hard transition!
Elizabeth and Mr. John gave her a FANTASTIC paint kit (and the beautiful centerpiece for us shown in the first photo!) that she has been using so much - it will be so great for cold winter days!

We all love guessing which animal she will be getting from FarFar and FarMor each day, she has been pretty good at deciding what it will be (well, her first guess is always "I bet it is a paper towel" because they all are wrapped carefully in paper towels!).

We aren't the only ones excited for winter! The river otter was playing on the ice the other day - rolling around and having such a good time. Soren and I were taking photos and watching him when AnaSofia pipes up, "I want the binoculars to see him!" Ah, she really is the smart one in the family!

your house looks beautiful! I love the branch by your window with the handmade birds. I need to get the pattern from you so I can make some over my break. They are so cute! AnaSofia looks like she is also very much enjoying all the animal gifts...so cute that her guess is paper towels! love you and miss you!
as you have hopefully already guessed this is Sarah not Josh, I am using his computer because we have new windows being put in and this is the only warm room in the house right now!
