Making Smores

Fall is such a fantastic time of year. A chance to slow down, enjoy the crisp air and take in the last few warm outdoor moments. We built a bonfire and made s'mores this weekend at nightfall. It was AnaSofia's first experience with a marshmallow (I know, she's a bit sheltered!) and she loved them, the graham crackers and the chocolate separately - but together? Not so much!

It takes A LOT of concentration to spear a marshmallow!

Toasting... Hey, mine is burning! Blow it out Far!

Hm... They were really good all white and puffy, but now...

Let's trade Far!

Trying to keep AnaSofia out of the marshmallows AND away from the fire was a full time job! Do other parents let their children this close to a flame? Ha ha!

All in A Day...

I know I have been posting a lot but AnaSofia and I have been fighting some lovely virus this week and have been home a lot. It has made AnaSofia not want to nap surprisingly, she has more energy than usual. And me and the baby are S-L-O-W plus I had a project due for work yesterday. But ah, the horizon looks good - we have good weather for the weekend (50s!) and clearer nasal passages. Here are some photos of what we have been up to..
Using the binoculars to check out the wildlife on the pond, she seriously has figured them out already (although she prefers to turn them around and make everything REALLY far away).

Eating avacados.

Chilling with Yuga.

Playing Dr. AnaSofia and checking Mommy's belly, it is a DAILY activity.

Taking Yuga around in the buggy, YES he will do ANYTHING and loves it - I know I will have photos of him dressed up in her doll clothes one of these days! He must really love us!

Mama got bored with the shag haircut and gave AnaSofia a bob one day, she looks so grown up!

Baking Together

We are enjoying an "Indian Summer" in Maine after November 1. It has been warm and sometimes gorgeous but also damp. I don't mind the dampness as long as we can get outside and enjoy nature! When we are inside we have been baking a lot for friends to welcome new babies or just to have an excuse to stop in and visit those we care about. AnaSofia is quite the helper...

Halloween Weekend!

Halloween is officially AnaSofia's favorite holiday - she loved dressing up, going to lots of parties (4 total!) and getting tons of candy when you knock on strangers doors. We had a full WEEK of activities!

The little penguin and my LOVELY tights!

Visiting our many sweet neighbors...

Trick or treating on "famous" Maple Street.

Far dressed as a lumberjack, we decided people didn't realize he was dressed up and thought he was just an everyday Mainer...

We ended Halloween night going to Islwyn's house for a FUN party.

Saturday we had a party at our house for the Adventure Moms and some other friends - we had FIFTY NINE men, women and children at the house!!!!! It was fun and CRAZY!

Sunday was recovery day...
