Halloween is coming!

Happy Birthday FarMor! You would love to be here right now, Halloween is coming and witches are everywhere! Your little hix is thinking of you today! We have been doing lots of crafts and decorating the house in the past week and already have been to two parties and will have two more (including our own!). Whew! Here are some photos of us at Pumpkins in the Park - she loves her penguin costume that I finished minutes before the party!
SO excited to put on her costume for the first time (she chose the idea WEEKS ago)

Her and Far walking together - sniff, sniff - Soren was laughing at how excited I was - I LOVE holidays with little ones!

One of the amazing pumpkin displays - see the penguin?!

We waited in line for face painting and then she changed her mind - cue MAMA!

What you won't do for your child!

A hayride to top it all off!

Growing Up!

Happy Birthday FarFar! AnaSofia has been singing to you all day, I think she knows Mama will make a cake if she is enthusiastic enough. Your little girl is growing up so much now! I feel like she is SUCH a BIG kid. She has so many clever things to say and wows me with what she can do all the time. I am amazed that THIS is age 2. Just some random shots of our big girl for FarFar!
Pigtails!

She and Far surprised me with a lovely lobster dinner one night this week (she LOVES lobster), I had to break their hearts and tell them I couldn't eat it. Actually, they didn't seem so sad to have an extra lobster, hm...

Mama made me this skirt!

Reading big kid books (ha ha!). I love these cozy days, she lives in her sweater coat and little boots - Sarah I LOVE those boots and finally wrestled them onto her this Fall - she adores them - THANK YOU!!!!

A giggle moment...

So I came home from my doctor's appointment to find her quiet in the guest bedroom... "What Mom? I'm dressed, and look I dressed teddy bear too - we even have matching headbands. No big deal that I am coloring on the sofa, I'm careful!" Well, at least I picked out her outfit for her last night, sometimes she has striped pants on and a polka dot shirt in glaring colors and she and Soren think it looks FINE... I think her headband is anchored in her ears...

More confidence...

So I am having fun with the sewing machine now... I made AnaSofia a skirt (I'll have to get a photo of her in it at some point) and made a special little guy who turned one this weekend a birthday crown...

According to my Creative Family book, her kids LOVED their birthday crowns and cherish wearing them every year. We'll see if AnaSofia is the same, I haven't made her one yet - she was very sad to see the first one shipped off to someone else so I appeased her by having a birthday party for her teddy bear AND making her a superhero cape.

She has been entertaining Soren and I each night with a song in her tutu with her bath towel over her shoulders - it is HILARIOUS, BUT she stops every time we bring out the video camera. So I made her a cape to do it in style... Hope to post video of it SOMEDAY...

We are missing all our friends and family this week, why are you all so far away? We sent a package to Hawaii this week and Africa for our friends in the PeaceCorp there for two years. I am aching to make a trip to DC to see Heather and now really want to go to CA to see Sarah. Wish it wasn't so expensive for us right now! Thinking of everyone and missing you all! It must be the hormones, sniff, sniff!

It never gets old...

Another day of playing in the leaves... I KNOW, but she is SO cute!!!

Playing in the Leaves

AnaSofia and Yuga had a great time playing in the leaves today as I raked. I don't think I would rake unless they were to play in them - phew I am tired!!! Ha ha!

Hiking on the weekend

We went to the Orono Bog to see the Fall colors and enjoy the beautiful weather. It is such a fun place to explore with little ones because AnaSofia can walk or be in her stroller. Her new place to ride is UNDER the stroller in the basket - perfect! Now I don't need a double stroller when the baby comes!!!

Enjoying Fall

AnaSofia loves playing with her baby, buggy and all the beautiful clothes made by FarMor

Yay, we have mastered the potty!

A morning visitor, this blue heron comes almost every day to catch frogs and fish in the backyard.

Fall colors in the yard.

A freebie slide mommy crammed into the back of the car much to AnaSofia's delight.

Playing in her playhouse with Far and Yuga

I found film canisters at a yard sale that we made into drums - what was I thinking?!
