While mama sews...
We are fortunate to live in the middle of nature so the kids can just run and play outside while I work and watch from the windows. They do play so well together.
But I try to have little art projects set up so we can all be working together because they like to be near me wherever that might be! Some projects are successful, others not so much. Buying two cans of shaving cream in hopes they would play with it outside nicely on the picnic table with planes and cars while I nursed Magnus? Not so much... It ended up being a frat party atmosphere with two kids slathered head to toe in shaving cream and sliding down the slide at rocket speed. Soon there were tears due to copious amounts of shaving cream in their eyes... SIGH. What does work is usually a variation of what I am doing. Both are into painting, beeswax crayons and AnaSofia loves to sew too. I have started "embroidery" with her on a hoop with burlap, allowing her to free hand or draw a picture with my sewing pen and work from there.
My mind is swirling with ideas for Christmas presents for family using some of their art... It is never too early to start thinking about it!
