Sewing for the littles

This August and September has been full of sewing and art. I am trying to sew most of the kids clothes for school while relying on hand me downs for the rest. I used a few patterns (and want to try so many more!) from this great book Soren gifted to me last Christmas. It is filled with great projects, some of which I am saving for Christmas presents for the kids THIS year...
Kasper was in need of many new pants as he has outgrown all his Anna Maria Horner quick change trousers Mama made and I am tired of adding onto the pattern past the 2T size from the book! So I made the ones in Meg's book with a few little changes to make them a little more stylish. He loves them and loved being involved in picking out the accent fabric for the pockets and cuffs.

AnaSofia wanted "a cloak" for school so I used the playtime cape and made it with linen to add weight and used a beautiful piece of fabric Faster Caroline brought back from India for us some years back and we have been waiting to use. AnaSofia thought this was the perfect project for it...

So far they have stood up to the kid tested rough play that is everyday around here!
