My very favorite time of year... Well, I might say that often but All Hallow's Eve is especially wonderful to me. It means things are quieting down in nature, the warmth of the sun seems a blessing each day and trying our hardest to enjoy each perfect Fall day becomes a mission. I had big expectations for myself this Halloween, AnaSofia had ideas of literary characters for her and Kasper to be this year and I had great plans to sew the sweet little costumes... But we are busy around here you know! This week was a lot of parties, playing and packing. So instead of pushing myself too hard like I always do, I decided to let go and just breathe in the joy of Halloween. AnaSofia would not care what costume she wore and Kasper loved to dress up in anything, anytime. So why push it? A rare occurrence for me to let go, but it felt good. The kids dug around in the dress up box and came up with this:

Hm... I am thinking penguin with an identity crisis and a bat fairy? Whatever their ideas were, they were entirely their own and it was a kick to see their creations. And it gave us more time to enjoy the season by apple and pumpkin picking at one of our favorite places.

Happy Halloween!

My boys would also LOVE a pink tutu. For sure. It is nice to see someone else letting their kids create all on their own. We miss you guys.
