Independence Day with Friends

I am an introverted person and spend a lot of time thinking and relish time alone. I love people and feel joy from being busy with friends, but always need an afternoon to myself to calm my mind and center myself. I tend to have spontaneous bursts of wild energy followed by moments of quiet. I feel grateful for those friends who know me well and embrace me for being me. We were thankful this Independence Day to have a visit from two such wonderful people. Jess and I met our first semester at college when she fondly remembers I hugged her early in our friendship and it caught her off guard. The following year we had adjoining rooms in our dorm and that revelry is one of the best times of my life. I felt that I had found such a true friend and am so happy we have been able to see each other all these following years. This weekend was such a time of joy and rejuvenation for me and my little family.
