To the apple tree, the field atop the hill and the stone house built into the creek...
To the fireflies, the baby rabbits, and all the goats, chickens, horses, oxen, turkeys and geese.
To the maple sugar woods, the pine grove (PG) and the tobaggan trail through them all.
To the little girl who was happiest outdoors, amongst animals and deep in the grasses and weeds.
To the warm summer sunshine, quick flowing gorges of Ithaca and roller skates.
To blonde hair that shone in the sun, boys who smiled in a sweet way, and friends who hugged me back.
I love you all. I can't believe this little girl grew up, but here I am - a mama, wife and friend. A rule follower, a plant and animal lover, a queen and a warrior. I have a little family to love who loves me right back. What more can I ask for today?
