A Full Day...

Oh... Beginning of September will be a challenge for me to hold space for all the beautiful firsts that will emerge (a wee one's birthday, last days of summer, first days of school)... It will feel full indeed as all my babes grow into the strong beings I know them to be... But today, though a day of many firsts, I will focus on just one of those events that pulls so deeply at my heart strings...

My beautiful littlest babe is T W O.
Oh Magnus... You are the king of this family. Directing AnaSofia and Kasper this way and that, relishing in the delight that they love you, love to DO for you. You are a lucky little fella. I relish cozy moments in bed with you, your sweet little breathing and your soft little hands. Kasper is "Ba Ka" and AnaSofia is "anasofia" said as fast as can be. You are such a different creature, full on excitement, wildness and SO very social. You love to be out and about, having fun, being the life of the party. And we all love sitting back and watching you take center stage. You do it so well. People are always asking how old you are because your vocabulary blows them out of the water. You are soaking up Danish from Far and love to read any and all books and even sit to listen to chapter books with the big kids. I am happy to have some alone time with you this Fall. To slow time down and enjoy you a little more without any distractions.

All Magnus wished for his birthday was to "ride the train - two!!! Two on the train!". We do not do big gifts, or sometimes any gifts, for the kids at holidays and Magnus's birthday was no different. He got just what he wanted - a ride on the Downeast Scenic Railroad.
