I haven't had a chance to put up any photos of AnaSofia in awhile, and I am still working on the 1st birthday album! Life has been busy, good busy. We had a friend in town last weekend to defend his Ph.D. and we had a picnic for him with some friends and faculty at the University. I managed to take zero photos. Classic. Then AnaSofia and I have been off housesitting in Newburgh for a little over a week on and off. She had a BLAST! She loves the dog and cat we take care of and giggles like crazy when they give her a little attention. The strawberries I planted are just producing fruit now. I was so excited last week and showed the lone strawberry I found to AnaSofia. She LOVES strawberries and ate it and asked for more. I tried explaining to her (mind you she is 1) that only one strawberry was ripe and she started CRYING. I felt so bad, Soren came out of the house and was all a flutter that she was crying and ran in to thaw a few strawberries we had picked the week before at the farm. So funny, we have so much to learn! But... While housesitting I found a few raspberries which she LOVED and demanded more so I am scrambling all over rocks and thicket to find more. I really need to think before I do things! I just so much want for her to learn that food doesn't come from the refrigerator! So... Yesterday my friend Jessie and I went blueberry picking on this amazing hill in Winterport. I plopped AnaSofia down on the path and we went off picking after giving her a few berries. We forgot (not really) about her for a little while and looked back to see her crawling along and picking her own berries! She did that the whole time! It was really sweet.
