Counting down until Sarah arrives!

AnaSofia just got back from an afternoon at the lake with friends. She is passed out upstairs and I am trying to beat the heat and making Sangria in anticipation for Sarah's arrival in a few hours, we're going to have grill pizza and veggies tonight. Can't wait to see her! Needed to call Trish for a good white wine sangria recipe as I KNOW she must have one, but decided to wing it with what I have in the house. I simmered 1/2 c sugar with 1/4 c water and cinnamon and poured them over kiwis, strawberries, bananas, watermelons and whatever you can find. Chill for a few hours and then pour into a pitcher with a bottle of white wine. Hope it is good!
Finally feels like summer here in Maine - hot and humid today. So exciting! I need advice on some of my container flowers. They are yellow and not thriving but still producing flowers? So annoying! I hate to spend money on filling the containers and then have them look TERRIBLE and not know how to remedy it, any advice is appreciated from all you talented gardening ladies!
